How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client is in the Travel & Logistics Sector and is looking to grow their team with a new Lead Developer. This role will be mostly hands on coding (70%) and the rest spent looking after a small team of 4 other developers. This role will be 3 days a week in the Woking office the rest at home.

    Description

    This role is mainly hands on coding (70%) in C# in an AI first team (Claude) and the rest of your time looking after a small team of 4 developers

    Design and develop scalable and efficient C# applications.
    Run scrum ceremonies
    Sprint planning sessions
    Uphold architecture and engineering standard
    Ensure an AI first culture
    Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements.
    Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
    Identify and resolve software issues and bugs in a timely manner.
    Maintain and improve existing software systems and applications.
    Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
    Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.Profile

    Must haves:

    C#
    Azure - App Services, Function Apps, SQL databases, App Gateways, APIM
    AI first developer - used tools like Claude or similar
