How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Available to Start Immediately?
    Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant available to start work immediately and looking for a full-time opportunity with long-term career prospects?

    We are currently recruiting a reliable, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Royston, Hertfordshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is ready to start a new role as soon as possible.

    The position is offered on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position and access specialist training to support your professional development.

    Please note: This is a full-time position only. Applicants must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:40pm. You must also have your own transport or reliable commuting arrangements, as the school is most accessible by car.

    Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
    Excellent attendance and a professional attitude.
    Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
    Own transport or reliable daily commuting arrangements.
