How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

✅ Work in partnership with children, families, schools, health professionals and other agencies to deliver coordinated support.

✅ Lead and contribute to Child in Need meetings, Core Groups, Strategy Discussions and Child Protection Conferences.

✅ Undertake safeguarding enquiries and child protection investigations where there are concerns regarding significant harm.

✅ Develop SMART intervention plans that reduce risk, improve outcomes and support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible.

✅ Prepare high-quality assessments, reports and court documentation when required.

✅ Record clear and analytical case notes whilst maintaining excellent data quality and compliance with data protection requirements.

✅ Promote the voice of the child in all aspects of practice and decision-making.

Ability to build effective relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners.
Confidence in managing risk and making sound professional decisions.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (where required).
You'll Stand Out If You Have
Experience within a Children's with Disabilities Team.
