Production Manager

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Somerset who is actively looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
 
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring the operation delivers safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, food safety and hygiene.

Leading and developing the production team.
Planning and managing production to meet targets and budgets.
Monitoring production performance, yields, waste and efficiency.
Maintaining high standards of food safety, HACCP, GMP and hygiene.
Managing production processes from milk intake through to packing.
Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste and downtime.
Working closely with Technical, Engineering and other departments.
Managing performance, training and development within the production team.
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and audit requirements.  
What you will need to succeed:
You will ideally have:

Proven experience in a Production Management or senior production role within food/dairy manufacturing.
Experience leading and developing production teams.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
