How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A Mobile Electrical Engineer is required in London to deliver reactive repairs, remedial works and planned preventative maintenance across operational sites. The role covers low-voltage electrical systems, with a strong focus on fault diagnosis, inspection, testing and compliant maintenance.

Working as part of a coordinated mobile engineering team, you'll also support emergency lighting, generator testing and standby-power resilience while managing work independently across London.

    The Role

As the Mobile Electrical Engineer, you'll:

Diagnose electrical faults, safely isolate systems and complete repairs and functional testing.
Deliver electrical PPM and remedial works in line with SFG20 requirements.
Inspect and test installations, completing accurate certificates, test results and defect reports.
Maintain and test emergency lighting systems, identifying failures and replacement requirements.
Conduct generator and standby-power load testing and escalate risks affecting emergency power.
Coordinate access, permits and isolations while following approved safe systems of work.
Support wider mobile engineering requirements when primary contract workloads permit. About You

To be successful as the Mobile Electrical Engineer, you'll have:

A Level 3 electrical installation and maintenance qualification or recognised equivalent.
    A current 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification.
An inspection and testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
Experience in electrical fault diagnosis, certification, reactive repairs and SFG20-aligned maintenance.
Knowledge of emergency lighting and experience with generator or standby-power testing.
IPAF and PASMA certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain them.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to work independently across London.
Experience in occupied or critical environments, UPS or automatic transfer systems would be advantageous. What's in it for You?
    £48,000–£50,000 annual salary.
    16-week contract with temp-to-perm potential.
    Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
Mobile role covering sites across London.
Varied reactive, remedial and planned electrical maintenance work. The position is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent; permanent employment is not guaranteed.
