The role combines leadership of the site engineering team with direct budget responsibility, contract performance, subcontractor management and senior client engagement.
The Role
As the Engineering Manager, you'll:
Lead the site engineering team, including recruitment, development, appraisals and succession planning.
Ensure planned and reactive maintenance is completed within contractual KPIs and SLAs.
Manage contract budgets, P&L performance, monthly reporting, variations and additional works.
Maintain critical systems and equipment standards while supporting business continuity requirements.
Ensure statutory, company and client health and safety requirements are consistently met.
Manage subcontractor performance through regular reviews and ongoing contract oversight.
Maintain strong client relationships and present contractual and financial performance to senior stakeholders. About You
To be successful as the Engineering Manager, you'll have:
Managerial experience at Contract Manager or Senior Supervisor level within hard services.
Proven recruitment, line management and engineering team supervision experience.
Current knowledge of ACOPs, fire and environmental controls and health and safety legislation.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and contract performance.
Excellent communication, presentation, motivational and influencing skills.
A good general education, ideally to degree or HND level.
Experience delivering wider facilities management services would be advantageous. What's in it for You?
