This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, hands-on engineer to support the reliability and efficient operation of production and packaging equipment, while playing a key role in a new and expanding manufacturing operation.
What you’ll be doing
Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance across production, processing and packaging equipment.
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, sensor and instrumentation issues.
Support PLC fault-finding and identify control system issues.
Maintain and repair filling lines, can-making machinery and process plant equipment.
Carry out root cause analysis to resolve recurring faults and improve equipment reliability.
Support maintenance planning to keep machinery operating safely and efficiently. What we’re looking for
Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Confidence diagnosing faults involving sensors and instrumentation.
A working understanding of PLC systems and basic fault-finding.
Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
A professional, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills. Desirable experience
A background in food, dairy, beverage, packaging or FMCG manufacturing.
Experience with liquid filling and packaging lines.
Knowledge of three-piece can-making equipment.
Experience with hygienic processing equipment and APV valves.
PLC and HMI troubleshooting experience.
