This is a full-time role supporting a bright Reception pupil with additional needs consistent with ASD. The pupil would benefit from individual support with emotional regulation, attention and concentration, social interaction and understanding personal boundaries. They have a keen interest in space and geography, which can be used to encourage engagement and learning.

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS or primary education
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism or social and emotional needs, is desirable
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
Understanding of emotional regulation, social communication and positive behaviour strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
