How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Divisional Commercial Director – Luxury Commercial Fit Out

    Location: London
Sector: Luxury Commercial Fit Out / Workplace Interiors
    Type: Full-time, Permanent

    About the Opportunity

Our client, a specialist commercial fit out contractor delivering high-end workplace environments, is seeking an experienced Divisional Commercial Director to lead the commercial function across its London projects.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an established commercial professional with a strong background in commercial fit out, workplace interiors or high-specification construction. The successful candidate will take responsibility for commercial strategy, financial performance, risk management and the development of commercial teams across a portfolio of prestigious projects.

    The Role

As Divisional Commercial Director, you will provide strategic commercial leadership, ensuring projects are commercially controlled, profitable and delivered in line with business objectives.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

Leading the commercial function across a portfolio of luxury commercial fit out projects throughout London.

    *

Developing and implementing commercial strategies to maximise profitability and minimise risk.

    *

Overseeing project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.

    *

Providing leadership and guidance to commercial teams, including Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors and project-based staff.

    *

Managing procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, contract administration and final accounts.

    *

Reviewing contractual terms, identifying commercial risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.

    *

Working closely with operational leadership, project teams and senior management to drive project performance.

    *

Supporting business development and pre-construction teams with tender reviews, bid strategies and commercial assessments.

    *

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key supply chain partners.

    *

Driving consistency, accountability and best practice across the division's commercial processes.

    About You

    *

Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role within commercial fit out, workplace interiors or a similar construction environment.

    *

A proven track record managing the commercial performance of multiple projects or a business division.

    *

Strong expertise in contract management, procurement, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.

    *

Experience leading, developing and motivating commercial teams.

    *

Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and strategic decision-making skills.

    *

A strong understanding of the London commercial fit out market and its contractual and commercial challenges.

    *

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, ideally with professional membership such as RICS.

    The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a specialist contractor operating within the premium commercial interiors market, delivering sophisticated workplace environments for high-profile clients across London.

The role offers the chance to influence divisional strategy, strengthen commercial performance and play a key part in the continued growth of a quality-driven business.

If you are an established commercial leader with a background in luxury commercial fit out and are ready to take on a divisional leadership role, we would welcome your application
