How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electronics Engineer

    Littlehampton, West Sussex

    Excellent opportunity for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a global, market-leading company where you will play a key role in developing innovative products, receive ongoing technical development and have the opportunity to become a recognised technical expert.

    Do you have experience in both Analogue and Digital Electronics Design? Have you worked with PCB Design, Microcontrollers and New Product Development? Are you looking for a highly technical role where you can take products from initial concept through to manufacture?

    This market-leading business designs, manufactures and services its own extensive range of specialist equipment used across a wide range of critical industries. As pioneers within their industry, they continue to invest in new technology, product development and engineering expertise to maintain their global market-leading position.

    In this varied role, you will work as part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary NPD and Engineering team in an R&D environment. You will take responsibility for the electronic design and development of innovative instrumentation and associated technologies, working with both analogue and digital circuitry, PCB design and microcontrollers. You will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through to testing, validation and manufacture.

    This role would suit an experienced Electronics Engineer with a strong background in electronic hardware design, looking for greater technical responsibility, the opportunity to influence new product development and the chance to work with cutting-edge instrumentation technology.

    The successful applicant will benefit from specialist product training, long-term development opportunities and the opportunity to become a technical expert within a globally recognised organisation.

    The Role:

    Design and development of analogue and digital electronics, including PCB design and microcontrollers
    Working within an R&D environment on New Product Development (NPD)
    Taking products from initial concept and prototyping through to testing and manufacture
    Supporting EMC testing, verification, validation and design for manufacture
    £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Training + Progression + Holiday + BenefitsThe Person:

    Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
    Experience in analogue and digital circuit design, PCB design and microcontrollers
    Experience in New Product Development, ideally taking products from concept through to production
    Knowledge of EMC, hardware testing and embedded systems
