How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are recruiting

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded individual to join our highly regarded Corporate team in Nottingham. You will work alongside experienced Partners and solicitors on a broad range of corporate transactions, supporting clients from SMEs and owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate entities.

    This role would suit a Paralegal with previous Corporate or commercial experience who is looking to further develop their legal career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

    The Role

    You will assist the team on a variety of matters including:

    Mergers and acquisitions
    Corporate reorganisations and restructuring projects
    Share purchases and asset sales
    Shareholder and investment agreements
    Company formations and constitutional documents
    Corporate governance and compliance matters
    Due diligence exercises
    Preparing and managing transaction bibles and completion documents
    Legal research and drafting support
    Companies House filings and corporate records management

    You will have direct client contact and play an important role in supporting transactions from inception through to completion.

    About You

    The successful candidate will possess:

    Ideally previous experience working as a Paralegal within a Corporate, Commercial or Company Secretarial team
    A strong academic background, ideally including a Law degree, GDL, LPC, SQE or equivalent
    Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    Strong drafting and legal research capabilities
    The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    A proactive, professional and team-focused approach
