How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Learning Support Assistant

    Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
    Pay: £90-£100 per day
    Contract: Temporary / Agency

    We are recruiting dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to work at a specialist school in Stevenage, supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex additional needs.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff and individuals looking to begin a career in special educational needs and disabilities. A positive attitude, patience and a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive are essential.

    The role

    Working alongside teachers and other support staff, you will help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment tailored to pupils' individual needs.

    Responsibilities may include:

    Supporting pupils with learning activities and classroom routines.
    Encouraging communication, interaction, confidence and independence.
    Providing individual and small-group support as directed by teaching staff.
    Helping pupils develop social skills and engage positively with others.
    Supporting emotional wellbeing and promoting positive behaviour.
    Following individual learning plans, school policies and staff guidance.
    Assisting with personal care where required, in accordance with training and school procedures.
    Maintaining a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment.About you

    We are looking for candidates who are:
