Are you a graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Criminology or a related subject? A welcoming primary school in Basingstoke is seeking a caring and resilient Mental Health Assistant to join its specialist Resource Base.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience supporting children with additional needs while developing skills for a future career in psychology, therapy or education.
What will you be doing?
As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll support pupils from Reception to Year 6 who may experience:
Autism and ADHD.
Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties.
Trauma-related behaviours.
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Barriers to learning and social development.You'll help pupils manage their emotions, build resilience, strengthen confidence and develop positive relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
