How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

SEN Teacher - Specialist School (KS2-KS4)

    Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract Until July 2027

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated, flexible and experienced SEN Teacher to work full-time at a specialist school supporting pupils aged 7-16 across KS2 to KS4.

Although pupils span a wide age range, they are all currently working at primary curriculum level. For this reason, experience of delivering the primary curriculum is particularly important. Applications are welcome from both primary and secondary-trained teachers who have the relevant experience and skills to meet the needs of these pupils.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and can adapt their teaching approach to support pupils with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning.

    The Role

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils' individual learning needs and abilities.
Work with pupils aged 7-16 across a variety of year groups and key stages.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to support pupils working at primary curriculum level.
Provide a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes engagement, progress and positive behaviour.
Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals to help pupils achieve their potential.
Demonstrate flexibility in responding to the changing needs of different age groups and learners.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has previous experience teaching pupils with additional needs in a specialist SEN setting or a similar environment.
Has experience delivering the primary curriculum, which is essential for this role.
Has experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Is highly adaptable, patient and resilient, with the ability to adjust their teaching approach to suit different ages, abilities and needs.
Can build positive relationships with pupils who may face significant barriers to learning.
Is committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environment.

    What We Offer

A full-time teaching position within a specialist school.
    A fixed-term opportunity running until July 2027.
The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils' educational progress and personal development.
Ongoing support from your dedicated Tradewind Recruitment consultant.
Access to free professional development and training through The National College.

    How to Apply

If you are an experienced teacher with a passion for SEN education and the flexibility to support pupils across a wide age range, we would love to hear from you.
