About the Role
Teach Now is seeking a confident Year 3 or Year 4 Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Harrow for two important school terms.
You will take responsibility for an established Key Stage 2 class where pupils are generally achieving well and ready for thoughtful challenge. Your focus will be on keeping learning moving through clear routines, purposeful teaching and responsive assessment, while adapting lessons for pupils with different needs.
Strong classroom management will be important, particularly when joining a class partway through the academic year. You will balance high expectations with warmth and consistency, helping pupils aged seven to nine continue building confidence, independence and strong learning habits.
The school has a faith-based ethos, so you will also teach Religious Education and contribute positively to the wider values of the school. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys taking ownership of a class while working closely with colleagues and families.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Use assessment to identify gaps, address misconceptions and provide appropriate challenge.
Adapt teaching for pupils with varied learning needs, including SEND.
Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain continuity.
Teach Religious Education in line with the schools faith-based ethos.
Communicate clearly with families and support pupils wellbeing and progress.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
Experience planning, assessing and adapting lessons for different needs and attainment levels.
Confident classroom and behaviour management.
Willingness to teach Religious Education and support the schools faith-based ethos.
The right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS and other safeguarding checks.
