About the Role
Teach Now is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with physical disabilities in an inclusive primary school in Harrow.
Working within a Year 3 or Year 4 classroom, you will help the pupil access lessons, activities and the wider school environment safely and confidently. A key part of the role is providing practical physical support, including personal care, nappy changing, mobility assistance, transfers and positioning, while always protecting the pupils dignity and privacy.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team, following agreed care plans, moving and handling procedures and safeguarding guidance. The aim is to provide the right level of support without creating unnecessary dependence, encouraging the pupil to build independence wherever possible.

Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning in line with agreed procedures and training.
Provide personal and intimate care, including nappy changing, while maintaining dignity and privacy.

Confidence supporting mobility, transfers and other physical needs.
