A significant proportion of our work involves surface-mounted installations and plastic trunking systems, therefore a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail and pride in presentation are essential.
You will work independently and as part of a wider team, ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally and in accordance with current electrical regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out domestic and commercial electrical installation works.
· Install electrical systems associated with wet room and kitchen adaptation projects.
· Undertake fault finding, diagnostics and electrical repairs.
· Perform electrical testing, inspection, certification and reporting.
· Install and maintain surface-mounted containment and trunking to a high standard.
· Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams.
· Assist with small-scale electrical projects and planned installation works.
· Ensure all works comply with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards.
· Maintain accurate records of work completed, testing undertaken and materials used.
· Report daily progress and any issues affecting programme delivery to the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
· Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, colleagues and subcontractors.
· Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all company health and safety procedures.
· Complete risk assessments and work safely at all times.
· Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the business.
· Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installation work.
· Experience working within occupied residential properties.
· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
· Experience carrying out inspection, testing and certification.
· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work safely, methodically and professionally.
· Understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
· Knowledge of current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
· Experience working as part of a team and supporting wider project delivery
Salary description
£42000.00 - £45000.00 per year
