Westin Par is recruiting a Lead Health and Safety Advisor for a growing consultancy supporting clients across Kent, London and the South East.
This is an opportunity to take the technical lead, mentor colleagues and help businesses turn health and safety requirements into practical improvements. Our client welcomes experience from consultancy or operational sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics, facilities management and utilities.
Based at the East Kent office, you will make regular client site visits, with business mileage and client travel reimbursed.
The Role
* Deliver practical health and safety consultancy and compliance advice.
* Conduct audits, inspections and site assessments.
* Produce and review risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.
* Advise clients on health and safety legislation and best practice.
* Support CHAS, SafeContractor and Constructionline accreditations.
* Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
* Build lasting client relationships.
* Mentor junior colleagues and lead technical quality standards.
* Requirements
* Minimum Level 5 Occupational Health and Safety qualification, or a higher relevant qualification such as an NVQ Level 6, NEBOSH Diploma or Health and Safety degree.
* Practical health and safety experience within industry or consultancy.
* Experience preparing risk assessments, RAMS and health and safety documentation.
* Strong communication, auditing and report-writing skills.
* Confidence managing your own workload and client relationships.
* Full UK driving licence and own transport.
Desirable Experience
* Fire risk assessments.
* CDM and construction health and safety.
* Legionella risk assessment qualifications and practical experience.
* ISO 45001, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
* CHAS, SafeContractor or Constructionline.
* Training delivery.
* Chartered IOSH status or working towards Chartered membership.
Package
* £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
* 28 days’ annual leave, including bank and public holidays.
