How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role also supports workforce planning and recruitment activity, expenditure management, compliance assurance and the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors and specialist partners.

    Key responsibilities

Support governance, compliance and health and safety assurance processes, including management of escalated risks and Evotix reporting.
Coordinate responses to Executive Team enquiries, MP correspondence, Ombudsman investigations and complex resident issues.
Support management of regional expenditure, including temporary accommodation and associated costs.
Provide oversight of compliance requirements including Building Regulations, FENSA and other statutory obligations.
Produce and present performance reports, recommendations and action plans to support operational decision-making.
Identify and implement service improvement opportunities, driving efficiencies and improved customer outcomes.
Provide deputy support to the Regional Head of Service when required.
    About you

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within an operational, commercial or service delivery environment.
    Contract management experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Confidence presenting information and influencing decision-making.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Experience working with contractors, suppliers or external partners to achieve performance outcomes.
    Desirable experience

    Social housing experience.
    Repairs and maintenance background.
Experience handling complaints, escalations or regulatory enquiries.
Experience supporting service managers or operational teams in a leadership, advisory or performance improvement capacity.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact across a diverse and rewarding service, working with experienced leaders and colleagues who are passionate about delivering excellent outcomes for residents. You will be empowered to challenge, improve and innovate, helping to shape how services are delivered across the region.

If you are commercially minded, naturally curious, confident working with stakeholders at all levels and motivated by continuous improvement, apply today and help us deliver services that make a real difference.
