An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and committed PE Teacher (Girls) to join its successful Physical Education department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is dedicated to promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and sporting excellence amongst young women.
The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver outstanding PE lessons that inspire students to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation of health and fitness. We are looking for an individual who can engage and motivate students of all abilities and encourage participation both within curriculum lessons and through extracurricular activities.
As a PE Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire female students to participate confidently in a wide range of sporting and physical activities.
Build positive relationships that encourage student engagement, achievement, and personal development.
Monitor, assess, and track student progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential.
Promote healthy lifestyles, fitness, and wellbeing throughout the school community.
Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the PE department.
Organise and lead extracurricular clubs, teams, fixtures, competitions, and sports events.
Support students in developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through sport.
Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement within lessons.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject.
Experience teaching PE within a secondary school environment.
Strong knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
A passion for promoting girls' participation and achievement in physical education and sport.
The ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
