About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team.
Working as part of a team, you will help manufacture bespoke joinery products, taking them from raw materials through to finished goods. You will use a variety of tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products, ensuring every order meets the required standards for quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, fabrication or warehousing experience who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
Previous experience working with wood, joinery or production machinery would be an advantage. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to working safely are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Operate tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products.
Work towards individual and team production targets, ensuring orders are completed on time.
Read and follow production paperwork, labels, technical drawings and written instructions.
Use electronic scanning systems to record production progress and update order statuses.
Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
Identify and report faults, discrepancies and production issues, resolving minor issues where appropriate.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Carry out routine equipment checks, basic maintenance and regular cleaning.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other team members when required.
Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing or a similar hands-on role.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
The ability to follow written instructions and work from technical drawings.
Good time management, punctuality and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
A flexible approach and willingness to support different production tasks.
An understanding of workplace safety and the importance of following procedures.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable Experience
Working with timber, joinery products or wood-processing equipment.
Operating CNC machines or other specialist production machinery.
Using materials-handling equipment, including forklift trucks where appropriately trained and authorised.
What We Offer

A four-day working week, Monday to Thursday.
