About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading construction contractor with a long-standing presence on a major UK transport hub, delivering complex infrastructure projects to high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance. Working under a long-term framework, they deliver design and build projects across both airside and landside areas, including pavement rehabilitation, critical utilities replacement and the redevelopment of operational areas. The programme is ongoing, with further major resurfacing works in planning. Work is carefully planned around critical live assets, with close engagement across a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all site activities and take ownership of safe, successful project delivery
Drive strong commercial performance and maintain effective cost control
Deliver works safely, without environmental incidents, and to quality standards free from defects
Develop and implement project and management plans in line with company procedures
Prepare procurement schedules and work with the procurement team to ensure resources are in place
Act as the main point of contact for the client, maintaining strong working relationships
Identify and promote value engineering and efficiency opportunities
Keep accurate site diaries and records
Produce monthly reports for the client and internal stakeholders
Chair weekly site meetingsSkills and Experience
Proven site management experience in construction, ideally in an MEP or civil engineering role
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading project teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors
Commercial and contractual awareness, with experience in a cost-conscious environment
Strong technical knowledge of MEP engineering, backed by relevant project experience
Computer literate
Valid CSCS card

Salary description
£500.00 - £550.00 per day
