Working alongside the Home Manager, you will combine hands-on nursing responsibilities with clinical leadership, staff development and the day-to-day management of the service.
The Role
As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will:
Support the Home Manager with the clinical and operational management of the home.
Provide strong clinical leadership to Registered Nurses, Senior Carers and care teams.
Oversee care planning, medication management, risk assessments and clinical documentation.
Lead clinical audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure the home maintains high standards in line with Care Inspectorate requirements and best practice.
Support recruitment, supervision, training and performance management of clinical staff.
Conduct pre-admission assessments and work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
Participate in clinical shifts and the management on-call rota.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need:
Active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
Previous experience in a senior nursing position, ideally within a nursing home.
Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and medication management.
Experience leading, motivating and developing nursing and care teams.
Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
