How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Coordinate the installation of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation and associated systems.

Manage site quality assurance processes, inspections, witnessing and installation sign-offs.

    *

Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project quality standards.

Identify and resolve site issues, working closely with the Project Managers and other construction disciplines.

    *

Attend site coordination and progress meetings, providing regular updates on mechanical works.

    *

Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively address potential delays.

    *

Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical activities.

    *

Support testing, commissioning and handover activities as the project progresses.

    About You

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Construction Managers who have a strong background in building services and experience delivering substantial M&E packages.

    Ideally, you will have:

    *

Previous experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or similar.

    *

A strong technical understanding of mechanical building services installations.

    *

Experience working on large residential, mixed-use or commercial developments.

    *

Proven ability to manage mechanical subcontractors and drive site progress.

    *

Good knowledge of quality assurance, inspections and witnessing procedures.

    *

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coordinate installations.

    *

Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

    *

Relevant site management and health and safety qualifications.

Experience working on high-rise residential developments or large-scale M&E packages would be particularly beneficial.
