Principal People are excited to be working with a well-established organisation, who are looking to appoint a Divisional HSE Managerto lead and develop their team across the Division.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety, Risk or Assurance professional with leadership experience to influence risk management across a diverse industrial operation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing a high-performing team, strengthening risk culture and driving continuous improvement across multiple sites. This is a home-based role with national travel, offering the opportunity to work strategically with senior stakeholders while remaining connected to frontline operations.
The key duties include:
Leading, coaching and developing the Risk & Assurance team, building capability and consistency across the function.
Setting and communicating the strategic direction for HSE across the business.
Supporting operational sites with practical risk and assurance advice.
Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational teams and external partners.
Supporting the planning and delivery of planned maintenance outages and construction projects.
Analysing trends, identifying key risk areas and supporting improvements, particularly across technical and construction activities.
Influencing stakeholders at all levels to improve risk management and operational performance.

We would love to see CVs from people who have:
A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience leading, coaching or developing a team within a Health & Safety, Risk or Assurance advisory function.
Ideally, experience within waste management, construction, maintenance or a similar operational environment.
Auditing experience, with the ability to identify trends, assess risk and recommend improvements.
The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and operational teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing people and strengthening risk culture
