The Role
Are you a driven Process Improvement Engineer with a passion for Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving and operational excellence?
Our client is looking for an experienced engineer to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing and logistics operations. You’ll play a key role in improving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance, using structured problem-solving and Lean methodologies to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency and product quality.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Warehousing, Quality and NPI teams, you’ll develop processes, introduce innovative engineering solutions and support the ongoing improvement of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement improvements across manufacturing, assembly and logistics using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools.
* Lead root cause analysis and develop effective, sustainable solutions to operational issues.
* Improve equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes to increase productivity and quality.
* Develop and implement engineering changes in line with relevant ISO 13485 medical device quality controls.
* Provide engineering support to production and maintain accurate drawings and work instructions.
* Work collaboratively across departments to deliver improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
About You
* HNC in Engineering or equivalent/higher qualification.
* Formal Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement training.
* Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
* Proven experience implementing root cause analysis and Continuous Improvement tools.
* Experience delivering improvements in an assembly manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel. Experience with QAD or similar ERP systems is desirable.
