How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Azure Architect

    London - Hybrid

    Microsoft Azure / Cloud Architecture

    FinTech / Banking / Financial Services

    I'm working with a growing business in the looking to hire an experienced Azure Architect to take ownership of its Azure architecture, cloud strategy and technical direction.

    You'll lead the design and evolution of the Azure environment, setting technical standards and driving best practices across security, scalability and resilience. Working closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders, you'll play a key role in shaping the cloud foundations that support critical financial services platforms. The business has been going for 15+ years and develop SaaS products delivered into FinTech, Banking & Insurance businesses across London & the UK.

    This role requires office working of 2 days a week in Central London.

    Key Responsibilities

    Take ownership of Azure architecture, cloud strategy and technical standards.
    Design secure, scalable and highly available cloud solutions across the Microsoft Azure stack.
    Lead cloud transformation, migration and modernisation initiatives.
    Work closely with engineering, DevOps and security teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
    Ensure architectures align with business objectives and financial services regulatory requirements.
    Lead a small team of 3-4 mainly from technical standpoint.

    Experience Required

    Strong commercial experience as an Azure Architect, Cloud Architect or equivalent.
    Deep technical expertise across Microsoft Azure and its core services.
    Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions, ideally within fintech, banking or financial services.
    Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, Microsoft Entra ID and cloud governance.
    Experience with Azure PaaS/IaaS, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
    Experience designing highly available, resilient and secure cloud environments.

    Nice to Have

    Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104 or AZ-500.
    Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised applications.
    Exposure to Azure API Management, Service Bus or Logic Apps.
    Knowledge of financial services regulations and standards, including FCA requirements, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 or DORA.
    Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Microsoft Sentinel or Defender for Cloud.

    Salary: £100,000-£130,000
