How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Mentor - SEN School
    Location: Reading
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £90 - £105 per day

    Are you passionate about helping young people overcome behavioural challenges and develop the confidence to succeed?

    A supportive specialist school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement in lessons, or maintaining positive relationships, helping them make progress both personally and academically.

    As a Behaviour Mentor, you will build positive relationships with pupils, providing consistent guidance and encouragement throughout the school day. You will help students understand their emotions, develop constructive coping strategies, and make positive choices in a structured and supportive environment.

    In this role, your responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor will include:

    Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
    Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model
    Helping students identify triggers and develop strategies to manage their behaviour
    Encouraging positive engagement with lessons, routines, and school expectations
    Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to maintain consistent approaches to behaviour supportThe school offers a collaborative working environment where staff are committed to understanding individual pupils and helping them achieve their potential. You will gain valuable experience supporting young people with additional needs while developing your skills in behaviour management, mentoring, and pastoral care.
