How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEN School
    Location: Newbury
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £90 - £105 per day

    Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?

    A specialist school in Newbury is seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your understanding of psychology in a practical setting, supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs while gaining experience for a future career in psychology, education, or mental health.

    As a Psychology Graduate, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to thrive. Students may have a range of additional needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.

    As part of your role as a Psychology Graduate, you will:

    Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning and emotional needs
    Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social skills
    Support pupils with classroom activities and encourage engagement with learning
    Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour
    Work alongside teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to support individual developmentThe school offers a supportive environment where you can learn from experienced professionals and develop practical skills in child development, behaviour management, and inclusive education.

    This Psychology Graduate position would be particularly suited to graduates aspiring to become Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Child Psychologists, or therapists. Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional needs would be beneficial, although a genuine interest in supporting young people is essential.
