How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Material Support Specialist

    Brize Norton, Oxfordshire (100% Onsite)
    PAYE: £22.43 per hour
    Umbrella: £30.00 per hour
    35 hours per week | 4.5-day working week
    BPSS+ Clearance Required (must be eligible for SC Clearance)

    Guidant Global is recruiting on behalf of Airbus for two Material Support Specialists to join the Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK at RAF Brize Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role supporting one of the world's most advanced military air transport programmes.

    Working within the Demand Cell team and reporting to the Material Demand Coordinator, you will help ensure critical materials, components, and equipment are available when needed to support maintenance activities and flying operations across the UK A400M fleet. This role is ideal for an experienced supply chain, materials, procurement, or logistics professional who enjoys solving problems, managing priorities, and working in a fast-paced operational environment.

    What You'll Be Doing

    As a Material Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing material demand activities and ensuring supply chain performance supports operational requirements.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Managing and monitoring material demands across the UK A400M fleet.
    Maintaining operational oversight of material-related issues affecting maintenance activities.
    Escalating Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Work Stop and critical material shortages.
    Supporting the recovery and management of AOG aircraft in the UK and worldwide.
    Liaising with customers and stakeholders to coordinate material procurement requirements.
    Following up on delayed deliveries, missing documentation, incomplete requisitions and supply chain issues.
    Identifying risks and escalating concerns to ensure operational commitments are maintained.
    Attending daily operational briefings and planning meetings.
    Building strong relationships with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
    Producing reports and providing supply chain updates to support decision-making.What We're Looking For
    Essential

    Experience within a material support, supply chain, procurement, logistics or materials management environment.
    Strong SAP experience.
    Experience using Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to risk identification and management.
    Experience attending operational or customer-facing meetings.
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
    Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).Desirable

    Experience within aerospace, defence, engineering or manufacturing environments.
    Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
    Experience using SAP HANA, SAP SP1, Airnnav or MDS.
    Familiarity with aircraft maintenance support operations.
