The Role
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential Key Stage 5 teaching.
Teach a broad Science curriculum, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics depending on experience.
Inspire students to develop a genuine passion for Science and an understanding of its importance in the wider world.
Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Encourage scientific enquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving and practical skills.
Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive and forward-thinking Science department.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
A degree in Science or a related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for teaching Science and inspiring young people.
The ability to create engaging, challenging and accessible lessons.
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing and development of students.
