How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Material Inventory Controller

    Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire - 100% onsite
    Hours: 35 hours per week, worked across 4.5 days between 7am and 7pm, with hours agreed at business discretion
    PAYE Rate: £18.30 per hour
    Umbrella Rate: £24.47 per hour
    Clearance: BPSS+ clearance required

    Guidant Global is working in partnership with Airbus to recruit a Material Inventory Controller to join the Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK at RAF Brize Norton.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, material support, supply chain or warehouse operations who enjoys working in a busy, process-driven environment. You'll work closely with the material demand team and wider Logistics/Warehouse function, helping to ensure materials are handled accurately and efficiently to support maintenance and flying programme requirements.

    Airbus provides continuous support to the Royal Air Force, with teams working together across maintenance, engineering, technical services and supporting functions to help maintain aircraft airworthiness.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Managing and handling material requirements within the UK fleet.
    Processing material orders and movements in the correct priority sequence.
    Unloading and handling items in line with relevant logistics and airworthiness requirements.
    Completing pick, pack and material-handling system transactions accurately.
    Checking and organising documentation before packing and box closure.
    Recording physical material movements correctly within SAP and ensuring supporting paperwork remains linked to the appropriate parts where required.
    Putting stock away in the correct locations following picking and packing activities.
    Supporting both inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
    Assisting with receiving activities and other warehouse requirements.
    Carrying out stock checks when requested.
    Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
    Identifying and reporting process errors or system issues promptly to the Manager or Team Leader.
    Supporting Warehouse Management with reasonable ad hoc requirements.
    Looking for opportunities to improve the quality and accuracy of work.What We're Looking For
    Essential

    Experience within a material support, supply chain, logistics or related environment.
    Experience using appropriate warehouse management and information systems, including SAP SP1 and Microsoft Excel.
    Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
    An understanding of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations.
    Strong spoken and written English.
    A service-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    A thorough, organised and tidy approach to your work.
    The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
    A strong commitment to quality, compliance and integrity.Desirable

    A driving licence is preferred due to the need to travel around the site.
    A current Civilian Forklift Counterbalance Truck and Reach Truck driving licence would be advantageous.
    Previous experience within inventory control, stock control or warehouse inventory operations would be beneficial.Experience is valued over formal qualifications for this vacancy, making this a strong opportunity for candidates who can demonstrate relevant hands-on logistics, warehouse, material support or supply chain experience.
