How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title:  Primary Teacher 
    Location:  Baston House School, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7AB
    Hours:      37.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
    Salary:      Up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
    Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
    Start:        November 2026

    We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This is more than just a teaching role.     You'll teach small classes, build meaningful relationships with students, and be part of a collaborative team that celebrates every achievement, no matter how big or small.

    What You’ll Do:

    Deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

    Support students to achieve positive academic, social and emotional outcomes

    Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment

    Develop and implement individual learning and behaviour support plans

    Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families to maximise student success

    Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, helping every student build confidence and independence

    Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and emotional regulation

    What We’re Looking For:

    Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent required

    Passionate about supporting children with SEN to reach their full potential

    Creative, resilient and adaptable in your approach to teaching

    Able to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in students

    Strong classroom management and communication skills

    Committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning experience

    Baston House School is an independent day specialist school in Bromley, Kent, supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated needs. The school provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students are fully included in all aspects of school life.
