How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role:  Design Technology Teacher
    Location:  Jubilee School, Waterlooville PO7 7RE
    Salary:  £40,000 per annum (not pro rata)
    Hours:  40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm
    Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
    Start:  November 2026

    What You’ll Do

    Deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire every learner to achieve their full potential.

    Plan, teach and assess a broad and exciting Design & Technology curriculum, adapting learning to meet individual needs, including those with SEND.

    Create a safe, stimulating and well-resourced learning environment where curiosity and practical problem-solving thrive.

    Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, celebrate achievement and provide targeted support for students who need it most.

    Develop students' literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills through meaningful Design & Technology projects.

    Promote independence, resilience, teamwork and confidence through practical learning experiences.

    Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and external agencies to support outstanding outcomes.

    Contribute to wider school life, curriculum development and continuous school improvement.

    About You

    PgCert Education or equivalent with DT Experience required

    Delivers consistently high-quality teaching and has high expectations for every student.

    Can engage and motivate learners with diverse needs and abilities.

    Understands the importance of inclusive education and effective differentiation.

    Is a reflective practitioner who is committed to continual professional development.

    Driving licence required

    Jubilee School is an independent special school in Waterlooville, supporting students aged 5–16 with SEMH and complex needs.
