How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Project Planner

    Location: Essex
    Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Pure Resourcing Solutions is working with a specialist engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Production Project Planner.

You’ll be working within a low-volume, high-value environment, planning complex engineered products and projects where lead times, material availability, supplier performance and manufacturing capacity all need to come together at the right time.

You’ll take ownership of planning from customer requirement through to delivery, working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production and Operations to keep projects on track.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage production plans for low-volume, high-value projects and builds.
Translate customer requirements and project milestones into achievable manufacturing schedules.
Plan materials, components and outsourced services against project requirements and lead times.
Identify potential material, supplier and capacity constraints early and drive appropriate actions.
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production and Operations throughout the build lifecycle.
Monitor progress against planned dates, highlighting risks, delays and changing priorities.
Use MRP/ERP systems to maintain accurate planning information and material requirements.
Support improvements to planning processes, visibility and overall delivery performance.
    About You

Experienced in production, manufacturing or supply chain planning within an engineering-led environment.
Ideally experienced with low-volume, high-value, project-based or complex engineered products.
Comfortable planning around long lead-time materials, changing priorities and engineering requirements.
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, material planning and production capacity.
Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confident working across Engineering, Procurement, Operations and senior stakeholders.
This would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of a complex manufacturing operation, bringing together projects, materials, suppliers and production capacity to ensure high-value customer orders are delivered successfully.
