Are you an experienced teacher, tutor or SEN professional with a strong understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)?
Do you have the patience, creativity and flexibility to engage a young person who may find traditional education challenging?
Academics are looking for a PDA Specialist Tutor to provide tailored, engaging 1:1 tuition and help a young person re-engage with learning in a way that works for them.
The Role
As a PDA Specialist Tutor, you will:
Deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition based around the student's individual needs and interests.
Use PDA-informed, low-demand and relationship-led approaches.
Build trust and a positive working relationship with the student.
Adapt lessons creatively to encourage engagement and participation.
Support confidence, emotional wellbeing and educational progress.
Work closely with parents, carers and other professionals where required.
Create a calm, supportive and flexible learning environment.
