How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant

    Location: Newham

    Are you a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable experience working with children and young people with additional needs? A supportive special school in Newham is seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team as a Learning Support Assistant.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about child development, education and supporting pupils to reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide individual and small-group support within a welcoming special school in Newham.

    The Role

    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
    Work alongside teachers to help pupils access the curriculum.
    Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
    Encourage pupils' communication, confidence, independence and social development.
    Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
    Support classroom activities and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.

    We are looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people. A Psychology degree or related qualification would be highly desirable, although candidates with relevant experience and a strong passion for working in specialist education are also encouraged to apply.
