How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Agile Delivery Manager - Legacy-to-Cloud Migration
    SC Eligible preferred
6 month initial contract with opportunity for extension

We have an opportunity for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to play a key role in a major legacy-to-cloud migration programme for a large, complex organisation. This programme is responsible for migrating a broad and mixed application estate out of legacy data centres into new hosting environments, including Cloud and other target hosting environments. The focus is on relocating existing services safely and predictably, ensuring the client meets its migration commitments.
To support this large-scale delivery portfolio, We are seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to work directly with a migration delivery group, managing two teams within the squad, driving day-to-day delivery, maintaining delivery momentum, removing blockers, and ensuring both teams have the clarity, structure and support needed to meet their migration commitments.
The role is primarily remote, with some on-site presence required for key collaboration, planning and delivery activity.
    Job Description:
The role is delivery focused, requiring an Agile Delivery Manager who can work closely with engineers, testers, architects, product owners and transition teams to keep squad delivery moving across two delivery teams within a migration delivery group. The Agile Delivery Manager will be responsible for translating migration priorities into clear sprint activity, maintaining delivery plans and Jira boards, tracking progress daily, managing blockers and dependencies across both teams, and ensuring work is completed in line with agreed governance, quality and assurance standards.
The role requires someone comfortable operating at squad level, coordinating multiple team backlogs and delivery rhythms, and combining agile delivery discipline with practical coordination, attention to detail and the ability to support technical teams through complex migration activity.
    Key Responsibilities:
Drive the day-to-day agile delivery of two teams within a defined migration delivery group, ensuring sprint activity is planned, visible, actively managed and aligned to agreed migration outcomes.

Maintain a detailed migration delivery group delivery plan across both teams, ensuring sprint goals, migration milestones, dependencies, risks and critical path activities are understood and actively managed.

Run effective team and squad ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring actions are captured and followed through across both teams.

Work closely with both teams to break down work, sequence delivery activity, clarify ownership and ensure tasks are progressed through to completion.

Track progress daily through Jira, stand-ups and delivery checkpoints, identifying slippage early and taking action to recover delivery where required.

Remove blockers, manage squad-level risks and cross-team dependencies, and escalate decisions quickly where support is needed from other workstreams, suppliers or programme stakeholders.

Keep Jira boards, sprint plans, RAID items, actions and delivery artefacts accurate, current and ready for programme reporting or assurance review.

Coordinate delivery activity across architecture, engineering, testing, service management and transition teams to ensure migration readiness and smooth execution.

Support backlog prioritisation and sprint scope management across both teams, helping the squad balance delivery commitments, constraints and emerging priorities.

Provide concise squad-level updates on sprint health, progress, blockers, risks, dependencies and forecast confidence across both teams.

Promote strong squad ways of working, encouraging transparency, accountability, continuous improvement and practical problem solving.
    Key Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in agile delivery management within complex technology delivery or transformation environments.

Strong practical experience using Jira and Confluence to manage sprint delivery, maintain backlogs, track progress and support transparent squad reporting.

Strong sprint planning, backlog management, task tracking and dependency management skills across multiple teams.

Experience working directly with, and coordinating delivery across, two cross-functional agile teams, including technical, testing, service and transition colleagues.

Ability to bring structure, focus and delivery discipline to complex squad activity while remaining pragmatic and adaptable.

Able to identify delivery risks early, unblock issues, support prioritisation decisions and maintain forward momentum.

Clear and confident communicator, able to turn delivery detail from both teams into concise updates for team, workstream and programme stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail, follow-through and ownership of actions, decisions, risks and blockers.

Comfortable working in fast-paced delivery environments where priorities, dependencies and constraints may change quickly.
    Desirable

Knowledge of large-scale public sector delivery environments, security considerations and change control processes.

Experience with cloud migration, service transition, or data centre exit programmes within the public sector
