How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking a Site Manager to join a permanent water infrastructure role in Liss. This opportunity involves overseeing site operations, coordinating construction activities and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Managing day-to-day site operations across water sector projects
    Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to support smooth project delivery
    Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with approved designs, programmes and specifications
    Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
    Monitoring progress, productivity and resource requirements on site
    Working closely with project managers, engineers and client representatives
    Identifying and resolving site issues, risks and delays promptly
    Completing site records, reports and relevant project documentation

    Job Requirements:

    Experience working as a Site Manager within the water, utilities or civil engineering sector
    Strong understanding of construction site management and project delivery
    Knowledge of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental requirements
    Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site-based teams effectively
    Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
    Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and project programmes
    Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS, and appropriate health and safety training
    Commitment to delivering high-quality work in a safe and professional manner
