I’m working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team following an increase in workload.
The business delivers commercial refurbishment, cut-and-carve and CAT A projects, alongside long-term government frameworks including DWP Jobcentre schemes.
This is an opportunity for an experienced surveyor to take commercial ownership of either two projects valued below £10m or a single larger scheme, depending on size and complexity.
The Role
Commercial management of refurbishment and framework projects
Managing either two projects below £10m or one larger project above £10m
Procurement and management of subcontract packages
Preparing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports
Managing valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments
Controlling variations, change and contractual risk
Managing subcontract accounts through to final account
Working closely with operational teams, clients and framework partners

What they’re looking for
Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor with main-contractor experience
Strong commercial refurbishment or fit-out background
Experience commercially managing projects with limited supervision
Confident across procurement, CVRs, valuations, forecasting and final accounts
Framework or public-sector experience would be advantageous
Comfortable managing multiple smaller schemes or taking ownership of one larger project
