How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electronics Repair Technician

    Salary: £31,000 per year + 5% profit-sharing bonus
    Job Type: Full-time
    Hours: Flexible start between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. No shift work.

    About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced Repair Technician to repair and modify electronic and calibration equipment, often to component level.

    You will support the calibration laboratory, carry out testing and fault-finding, and work with colleagues to resolve technical issues and maintain high quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Repair electronic instruments to component level.

    * Diagnose and resolve technical faults.

    * Test PCAs to ensure they meet specification.

    * Read and interpret schematics, drawings and technical instructions.

    * Support maintenance and corrective actions.

    * Communicate technical issues and delays effectively.

    * Work to defined procedures and ISO 17025 quality standards.

    What We're Looking For

    * Minimum 2 years' experience in electronics repair.

    * HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

    * Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    * Good PC and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.

    * Calibration or test equipment experience is desirable.

    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
