How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job title: KS2 Teacher – Croydon

    Location: Croydon, London

Salary: £39,196 - £58,120 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

    Start date: 9 November 2026

Contract: Full time, temporary, long term.

Hours: Term time; daily hours and assignment arrangements confirmed before placement.

Help children move from knowing an answer to explaining how they reached it. Transparency Education is recruiting a KS2 Teacher for a primary teaching opportunity in Croydon, with a focus on confident participation and steady progress.

You will lead a class through the breadth of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, balancing challenge with well-judged support. We are looking for a teacher who makes expectations clear, takes time to understand pupils’ starting points and gives every child a way into the lesson.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan engaging lessons that build knowledge and revisit essential skills.

    • Model effective reading strategies and the choices that make writing clear.

    • Help pupils discuss methods and tackle unfamiliar maths problems.

    • Review learning regularly and adjust teaching or targeted support.

    • Build constructive relationships with parents, carers and classroom colleagues.

    Requirements

    • QTS with experience of the KS2 curriculum.

    • Confidence assessing learning and adapting teaching for different needs.

    • Consistent behaviour management and a warm, professional classroom presence.

    • An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one as part of the recruitment process.

    What the role offers

    • Responsibility for a class’s academic and personal development.

    • An opportunity to make inclusive practice part of everyday teaching.

    Why work via Transparency Education?

You will have a dedicated consultant for ongoing support and guidance, with access to CPD through our in-house team of experienced senior leaders.

Our refer-a-friend scheme pays £150 for each candidate you refer after they have worked and been paid for their first 10 days. We pay in line with applicable Agency Workers Regulations (AWR).

    Apply

Send your CV to discuss KS2 teaching in Croydon, including your preferred year groups.

Email or call (phone number removed). Please include your availability for a 9 November 2026 start.

If you have not heard from us within two working days, your application has not progressed for this role. We may contact you about other suitable education opportunities.

    Safer recruitment

Transparency Education is committed to equality and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and appropriate safer recruitment checks
