How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

From sport and creative projects to technology, gaming, outdoor activities, employer experiences and community projects, you’ll bring energy and purpose to every session.
You’ll be responsible for creating a programme that is engaging, inclusive and genuinely useful to young people.
    * Plan and deliver fun, purposeful group and one-to-one activities.
    * Help young people develop confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and workplace skills.
    * Turn interests and everyday activities into opportunities to discover and demonstrate transferable skills.
    * Organise employer talks, workplace visits, mock interviews, volunteering and project-based experiences.
    * Adapt activities so everyone can participate, whatever their confidence, ability or individual needs.
    * Work closely with Mentors to connect activities to each participant’s goals and next steps.
    * Build relationships with community groups, employers, training providers and specialist partners.
    * Promote activities, encourage attendance and re-engage young people who may lose confidence or disengage.
    * Create a safe, welcoming environment where young people feel heard, respected and encouraged to succeed.
    * Track participation and progress while ensuring activities meet safeguarding, quality and health & safety requirements.
You could come from youth work, employability, education, coaching, community work, careers, training or another people-focused environment.
Candidates that have experience in mentoring, employment, recruitment, resourcing, youth work, or a similar type of support role then you will be well suited to this job.
We’re looking for someone who is:
    * Creative, enthusiastic and confident leading activities.
    * Naturally good at engaging young people and building positive relationships.
    * Comfortable working with different personalities, abilities and backgrounds.
    * Able to create structure and purpose while keeping activities enjoyable.
    * Confident managing groups and handling challenging situations appropriately.
    * Organised enough to coordinate venues, partners, resources and multiple activities.
    * Passionate about inclusion and helping people overcome barriers.
    * Comfortable using digital tools and keeping accurate records.
    * Knowledgeable about safeguarding and creating safe environments.
Experience delivering sport, creative, digital, gaming, VR, outdoor, volunteering or project-based activities would be a real advantage.
Relevant qualifications in areas such as youth work, teaching, coaching, training, careers, employability or facilitation are desirable, along with first aid and risk-assessment experience.
    The opportunity
This is a role for someone who believes that engagement can be the first step towards transformation.
You’ll have the freedom to bring ideas to life, try different approaches and create experiences that help young people discover what they’re capable of.
Whether you’re helping someone find their confidence, discover a career they hadn’t considered or realise they have skills they never knew they had, your work will make a difference.
If you’re energetic, creative and passionate about helping young people move forward, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note: This is a highly active, face-to-face role requiring daily travel across the local area. Homeworking is not available due to the nature of the programme. The role is also subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including a DBS check where required
