Our client is a growing, family-owned main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across London and the Home Counties.
They work across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, leisure and conservation, delivering projects through Design & Build, refurbishment and traditional procurement routes.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join the team.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, commercially and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Overseeing site teams and supporting project delivery.
Managing programme, quality, health & safety and commercial performance.
Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
Working closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams.
Managing client and consultant relationships.
Attending progress and project meetings.
Monitoring project programmes and identifying potential delays.
Managing variations, changes and project risks.
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements.
Providing regular updates to senior management. About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within main contracting.
Experience delivering Design & Build projects.
A strong understanding of construction programmes and project delivery.
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial awareness.
Good knowledge of health & safety requirements.
The ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
A hands-on and proactive approach. Experience across residential, commercial, refurbishment or new-build projects would be advantageous.
