Working closely with the Engineering Manager, the Systems Engineer will help turn customer requirements into working systems, coordinating technical activity from initial specifications through integration, testing and installation. It's a broad role where you'll remain close to the engineering detail and see the results of your work through manufacture and commissioning.
What you'll be doing:
Defining system requirements, architectures and interfaces across mechanical, electronic, software and physics disciplines.
Coordinating systems integration, verification and validation, including factory and site acceptance testing.
Resolving system-level issues and managing technical risks, changes and documentation.
Working with engineering, production and installation teams to ensure systems perform as intended.What we're looking for:
You'll have experience within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practical experience solving integration challenges. You'll be comfortable working across teams and understanding how hardware, software and physical systems interact.
A degree in Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or a related discipline is required. Experience in scientific instrumentation, precision engineering or other complex engineered products would be particularly relevant
