How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Marketing Manager

Live Events & Music Festival Technology

    £50,000-£60,000 per annum
Old Street, London / Remote - Hybrid, UK based

We're working with a growing event technology business helping festivals and live events create better, safer and more connected experiences through white labelled event apps, audience engagement, crowd prediction and safety technology.

Already working with some of the EU's best-known festivals and event operators, the business is now looking for a Marketing Manager to drive its next stage of growth, with expansion into the US live events market a major priority.

    The opportunity

We're looking for a marketer who genuinely gets the live music, festival and events world, but who also brings proven experience taking products or services into the US market.

The business is already growing successfully in the UK and Europe. The major opportunity now is the US, where the scale of the festival and live events market offers significant potential.

Working directly with the founders, you'll help map the US market, identify the key organisations and decision-makers, create opportunities and get the business in front of the right people.

You'll be working with a proposition that has multiple angles - from improving the festival-goer experience and creating new engagement and commercial opportunities, through to crowd prediction, operations and safety.

    What you'll be doing

Build and execute a marketing strategy focused on growth in the US live events market, alongside continued UK/European activity.
Map the US festival and events landscape, identifying key operators, organisations, decision makers, industry bodies, events and partnership opportunities.
Create targeted campaigns that generate introductions, meetings and genuine commercial opportunities.
Work closely with the founders to get them in front of the right people, supporting opportunities from initial engagement through to new client on-boarding.
Shape messaging and positioning across event apps, audience engagement, crowd prediction and safety technology.
Create compelling content, customer stories and case studies that demonstrate real-world value.
Deliver targeted digital, email, social and content marketing.
Build relationships with relevant industry bodies and identify conferences, events and partnerships such as those run by the UK Crowd Management Association (UKCMA).You'll have the freedom to test ideas and find what works, with scope for the marketing budget and function to grow alongside the business.

    About you

The most important thing is that you have a genuine understanding of and passion for live music, festivals and events. You need to understand the industry, its people and what matters to event organisers.

Alongside this, previous experience successfully marketing products or services into the US is essential. We're looking for someone who already understands how to approach the US market rather than someone learning it for the first time in this role.

Ideally, you'll bring around 5-7 years' marketing experience, potentially gained within a festival operator, promoter, venue, ticketing or event technology platform, event services business or another organisation selling into the live events market.

We're particularly interested in someone who:

Has proven experience marketing products or services into the US and knows how to map a market, identify key players and create opportunities.
Understands the live events industry and the challenges organisers face.
Can turn technology and product capabilities into persuasive commercial stories.
Is creative, hands-on and comfortable building activity from the ground up.
Has experience reaching B2B decision-makers and generating commercial opportunities.
Enjoys working in a small, entrepreneurial environment directly with the founders.
Is genuinely passionate about live music, festivals and events.Direct festival technology experience isn't essential, but live events knowledge and US market experience are both key requirements for this role.

    Why join?

You'll be joining a small, ambitious business with proven technology, established customers and significant growth potential.

The business already has a strong platform for continued UK and European growth. The bigger opportunity is to establish a meaningful presence in the US festival and live events market, and you'll have a major role in making that happen.

You won't be one person within a large marketing department. You'll work directly with the founders, shape the approach to market and see the commercial impact of what you create.

If you know the live events world, have experience building business in the US and want the opportunity to help take proven event technology into a significantly larger market, we'd love to hear from you
