How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    THE ROLE
    As an Aftersales Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance and smooth running of the Aftersales Department.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    ·Managing the day-to-day operation of the Aftersales Department
    ·Leading, motivating and supporting the wider aftersales team
    ·Ensuring the efficient flow of work through the workshop
    ·Maximising workshop productivity, efficiency and profitability
    ·Driving excellent customer satisfaction and retention
    ·Building strong, long-term relationships with customers
    ·Handling and resolving customer queries and complaints
    ·Supporting customers with technical, servicing and repair-related queries
    ·Overseeing warranty, service, repair and MOT processes
    ·Identifying opportunities to increase labour sales and departmental profitability
    ·Introducing effective processes and innovative ways of improving performance
    ·Monitoring standards, productivity and quality across the department
    ·Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standards
    ·Supporting the team and being hands-on when required
    ·Working closely with colleagues across the wider dealership
    ·Ensuring high standards of customer care and operational performance are maintained
    This is a role where your ability to lead people, improve processes and deliver commercial results will make a genuine difference.
     
    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager or Service Manager with a proven background in the motor trade.
    You'll ideally have:
    ·Previous management experience within the automotive or motor trade sector
    ·Experience managing an Aftersales or Service operation
    ·Strong leadership and people-management skills
    ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    ·Strong organisational and time-management abilities
    ·Commercial awareness and an understanding of departmental profitability
    ·Excellent problem-solving skills
    ·The ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
    ·A customer-focused approach
    ·The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of outcomes
    ·A proactive and hands-on management style
    ·The ability to work effectively under pressure
    ·A full UK driving licence
