How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sales & Office Administrator

    Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
    Salary: £28,000–£29,000 per annum
    Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm; Friday, 9am–4.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break
    Working arrangement: Fully office based

    We’re looking for an organised Sales & Office Administrator to join a busy team in Chesham, supporting sales, customer enquiries and the day-to-day running of the office.

    This is a varied role combining administration with website updates and marketing support. It would suit someone who enjoys having different tasks to get stuck into and is confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

    Key Responsibilities of the Sales & Office Administrator:

    * Processing sales orders and preparing sales and service invoices.

    * Maintaining customer, supplier and product records.

    * Updating pricing information and keeping records accurate.

    * Managing shared inboxes, answering incoming calls and directing enquiries.

    * Logging and following up on website and online enquiries.

    * Updating website content and liaising with external website support.

    * Creating marketing materials and coordinating artwork for advertising and events.

    * Assisting with deliveries, dispatch and related paperwork when required.

    * Ordering office supplies and providing general administrative support.

    Requirements of the Sales & Office Administrator:

    * Previous experience in administration, sales support or a marketing assistant role.

    * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

    * A friendly, professional telephone manner.

    * Confidence using Microsoft Office and maintaining databases.

    * Experience updating websites and supporting digital marketing.

    * Practical experience using Adobe Photoshop.

    * Ability to manage several tasks and changing priorities.

    * A flexible approach and willingness to support colleagues.

    * Experience using other Adobe design packages would be an advantage.
