SSA are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering CAT A, CAT B, and Shell & Core projects. You will support the commercial team with project finances and subcontractor accounts, gaining practical experience with opportunities to progress into a Quantity Surveyor role.
Key responsibilities
* Assist with project budgets, cost reporting, and forecasts.
* Support the preparation of take-offs, valuations, and applications for payment.
* Assist with subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts.
* Track project costs and variations, maintaining accurate commercial records.
* Work alongside senior surveyors and project teams to support commercial delivery.
Requirements
* Some quantity surveying experience, ideally within M&E contracting.
* Basic understanding of cost management and subcontractor accounts.
* Familiarity with construction contracts, valuations, and variations.
* Good numerical, communication, and organisational skills.
* Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification, completed or in progress, or equivalent experience

£40000.00 - £50000.00 per year
