How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Head of Property & Facilities

    £80,000 + £7,000 car allowance + 15-20% bonus
    National UK remit | Hybrid / Multi-site

This is a senior property leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial building professional looking to take ownership of a substantial UK-wide property and facilities portfolio.

You'll be joining a large, established international business with a significant operational estate, leading the property and facilities function across 43 UK sites and playing a key role in keeping the estate safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage the day-to-day. You'll have the opportunity to shape property strategy, lead a strong professional team, influence senior stakeholders and drive improvements across a complex national estate.

Location: UK-wide remit. You must be based within approximately 2 hours of Heathrow and comfortable with travel across the UK as required.

    What you'll be responsible for

You'll lead a team of 4 Regional Property Managers, a Facilities Manager, CAFM Supervisor and Property Support Administrator, providing strategic direction while remaining the senior property subject matter expert across the wider business.

    Your remit will include:

Leading the UK property and facilities strategy across 43 operational sites
Managing an annual property budget of approximately £8m
Overseeing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
Managing a network of 100+ specialist contractors and suppliers
Ensuring the successful delivery of thousands of planned and reactive service visits each year
Taking ownership of property compliance, statutory requirements, risk and audit
Managing supplier performance, contracts and cost efficiencies
Leading utilities and sustainability initiatives, including carbon reporting
Supporting acquisitions, relocations, expansions and site exits
Overseeing dilapidations and leasehold improvement programmes
Driving the development and optimisation of the CAFM system
Acting as the senior escalation point for property-related issues
Providing expert advice and support to senior stakeholders across the businessAbout you

We're looking for an experienced senior property professional with a strong commercial building background.

You'll ideally have experience of leading a sizeable multi-site UK property or facilities portfolio, managing professional teams and significant budgets.

    You'll need to be:

Professionally qualified - MRICS, MCIOB, Building Surveying, Construction or equivalent
Experienced in a commercial building / property environment
Comfortable managing substantial operational budgets, ideally £5m+
Experienced in national contractor and supplier management
Strong on property compliance, statutory maintenance and risk
Confident managing and developing professional teams
Comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level
Commercially minded and able to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
A strong communicator who can build relationships with people at all levelsMost importantly, you'll be a team player and a genuinely people-focused leader.

This is a role where your ability to build trust, influence others and work collaboratively will be just as important as your technical property expertise. You'll need to be professional, approachable and comfortable working with everyone from operational teams through to senior leadership.

Experience within logistics, industrial, distribution or corporate real estate would be advantageous, as would exposure to CAFM, sustainability and carbon reporting.

    The opportunity

This is a chance to take genuine ownership of a high-profile national property portfolio, working within a business where property is critical to keeping a large operational network running effectively.

You'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, develop your team, improve processes and make a tangible commercial impact.

Location: UK-wide remit. You must be based within approximately 2 hours of Heathrow and comfortable with travel across the UK as required.

If you're a commercially focused, professionally qualified property leader who enjoys people, problem-solving and making things work better, this could be a very good next move.
